LITTLE LEAGUE: Encinitas Advances to SoCal South Sub-Divisional Round

ENCINITAS LITTLE LEAGUE’S 9-10 AND 11-12 TEAMS EACH WIN DISTRICT 31 CHAMPIONSHIP FLAGS TO ADVANCE TO SECTION TOURNAMENTS; 11-12 GROUP WINS 3RD STRAIGHT D/31 TITLE

Encinitas Little League used three big innings en route to a 23-3 victory over La Mesa National in the Section 6 Little League all-star tournament on Tuesday at the Vista Optimist Field.

Encinitas advances to the Southern California South Sub-Divisional this weekend in Orange County.

Tuesday’s win marks the third straight year this Encinitas all-star team won the Section 6 title. They also won it in 2010 as 9- and 10-year-olds, and then again in 2011 as 10- and 11-year-olds.
