SUNDAY JUNE 15
Finding a gift for a dad can be pretty tough. But, if you have a baseball dad, don’t worry, I got this. This is my wheel house. Here are a few ideas that will bring joy to your baseball dad….trust me!
Dad’s Playbook: Wisdom for Fathers from the Greatest Coaches of All Time
by
$10.01
This gift book for dad collects more than 100 inspiring quotes from the greatest coaches of all time. After all, dads do what the best coaches do: they motivate, mentor, discipline, and love. Author and parenting expert Tom Limbert takes wisdom from John Madden, Vince Lombardi, Tommy Lasorda, Phil Jackson, and many more, and applies it to fatherhood. With a foreword by Steve Young and photos of famous coaches in action, dads will find a wealth of inspiration in these pages.
59Fifty On-Field Hat
$34.99
I will start with one of my favorites (I hope Lefty reads this). A lid is always a good idea, however, you will score big with this twist. All MLB teams have at least five or six minor league affiliate teams (AAA, AA, A etc.) Find your dad’s favorite major league team’s affiliate and get a hat. Your dad will get some baseball street cred when he shows up in his team’s minor league lid. This hat is from the Salt Lake Bees, the AAA affiliate of the LA Angels (my team). My hat size is 7 1/4 Lefty. 😉
Find your dad’s MLB minor league teams.

No one to take you out to the ball game? Then bring the ballgame out to you! This clever doormat ensures that everyone entering your house scores a run. Now if someone will just buy the peanuts and cracker jacks! Made in India.
This was a very entertaining book. An everyday guy goes to MLB umpire school.
As They See ‘Em: A Fan’s Travels in the Land of Umpires
$6.40
As They See ’Em is an insider’s look at the largely unknown world of professional umpires, the small group of men (and the very occasional woman) who make sure America’s favorite pastime is conducted in a manner that is clean, crisp, and true. Bruce Weber, a New York Times reporter, not only interviewed dozens of professional umpires but entered their world, trained to become an umpire, then spent a season working games from Little League to big league spring training.

It’s Gone by my favorite artist, Joshua Serafin
It’s Gone
From: $50
“My paintings are much closer to expressing how I feel about what I see and experience rather than trying to duplicate what is “there”. I produce art through various mediums as a way to share and remind others, as well as myself, that when we experience certain times in our lives we should never forget how we felt. These times are memories that are forever happening throughout our lives.
I want the viewer to see my work and become lost in his/her own path of memories. By seeing in my work ones own memories, the viewer is reminded of themselves, who they are and where they come from. My art is a statement that touches upon emotion. Emotion that strikes the chord of energy in life.
My photography is another outlet to help feed my passion to re-live the instantaneous moments in life. The photographs I take stand alone as works of my art, as well as having the potential to be recreated in my painting. Life itself is a canvas to be painted.”
I hope this gives you some ideas.
To all the baseball dads out there, Happy Father’s Day.
To my dad, thanks for your love and support over the years…inside the baselines and out.
